Promoting emotional wellness in children with cystic fibrosis, Part I: Child and family resilience

Abstract Attention should be given to individual and family well‐being from a child's first interaction with the medical team continuing throughout development, especially for families who experience chronic illnesses, such as cystic fibrosis (CF). While much attention has been mental health of people CF 12 years older, this paper explores various areas teams assess provide additional resources during life promote child wellness. In paper, we discuss parental health, social determinants adherence/self‐care, nutrition, lifestyle factors, engagement school peers, modulator therapy age group CF. This is two companion papers which examines emotional wellness children early years. The second assessment intervention under 12. Both encourage strive optimal wellness, emphasizing holistic promotion prevention, identification, intervention.
